This is a Butterfly: Origami Holograms

Origami is the art of folding paper to make beautiful (or ugly) 3D patters, however it is also 11219804343_ecd9afd6d4interesting from a physics point of view, since folding the paper in a certain way can lead to strange mechanical properties, for example check out the image below of a  NASA solar panel that folds like origami.

What I thought was really beautiful and wanted to share with you is the how this pattern show here which tells you where you have to fold the paper, whether to fold it up and down and which folds you have to fold first determines that the shape is a butterfly, it is a strange way to encode the shape of a butterfly, a strange kind of hologram!
